Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: West MidlandsHybrid workingOur client is currently looking for a SEND Operations Manager to join their Inclusive Learning Services Senior Leadership Team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference and continue to develop the good work identified in their local area inspection revisit in March 2019.The role will include line management responsibility for three area team managers and all operational functions of SEND casework including ensuring compliance with relevant government legislation and statutory requirements.Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day to day implementation of all Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) processes and procedures and take key decisions in the absence of the Assistant Director for Inclusive Learning and to operationalise a work plan for the next 12 months.
- Deputise for the Assistant Director in a range of strategic management meetings and make decisions.
- Manage all operational functions of SEND casework and statutory procedures.
- Contribute to the development of policy, strategy and practice in SEND matters from 0-25 and take the lead on specific areas, including 16-25 years of age.
- Strategic managerial responsibility for SEN and disability
- Lead and collaborate on the development and implementation of monitoring strategies for children and young people with Education Health and Care Plans
- Lead and manage the monitoring of parental satisfaction evaluations and respond to comments and complaints.
- Provide professional advice to Head Teachers, Colleges and post 16 Training Providers, Local Authority officers and other professionals on SEND and Inclusion issues including to lead on specific projects, tasks or activities identified by the Group Head
Requirements:
- Degree or substantial relevant experience within SEN
- An Enhanced DBS check is required for this post
