We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support our accounting team and firm; this position is full-time and hybrid, suitable for an individual with 8+ years of accounting experience:-
- particularly with posting adjusting entries, bank reconciliations, HST/PST, monthly audit procedures, year-end audit, and Trust accounting.
- The successful candidate will also be responsible for processing/updating payroll/HR systems and benefits, completing a year-end payroll process, entering year-end adjustments, and preparing Record of Employment (ROE) in Ceridian/Dayforce.
- The individual will report to the Director of Finance, Accounting Manager, and Assistant Accounting Manager.
About You
- 5+ years of full cycle accounting
- 3+ years of Canadian Experience
- An accounting degree
- The ability to answer questions around journal entries
- The ability to critically think and question accounting processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and keen organizational ability
- Flexibility to work independently or as part of a team
- The ability to prioritize and meet urgent deadlines
- Law Firm Experience
- We are looking for someone who is responsive, dependable, and enjoys a fast-paced, high volume, but fun, work environment
- The firm and its employees are working in a hybrid model; as a requirement for remote working, you will need a reliable home internet connection
