This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior accountant who is looking for a new challenge and wants to grow with an established organization!ABOUT THE CLIENTOur client is the largest independent commercial equipment finance companies and offers a wide range of financing solution to commercial and industrial sectors including heavy equipment, mining, oil, construction and manufacturing. Currently, they are looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant to their team! The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience.ABOUT THE POSITIONReporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for:
- Prepare monthly financial statements for 3 to 4 different entities.
- Reconcile complex G/L accounts and prepare HST/GST and PST returns.
- Record month end journal entries, prepare bank/credit card, AP/AR reconciliations and working papers.
- Review semi-monthly payroll and sales commission calculations
- Maintain income statement schedules and monthly client invoices.
- Prepare cashflow analysis, monthly budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Guide and assist junior accountants and maintain internal controls.
- Prepare ad- hoc reports and work on year-end audits
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Designated CPA
- Experience working with sage 50 or Sage 300 is an asset
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary: $90,000 to $100,000
- Discretionary Bonus
- 2 to 3 weeks’ vacation
