This role is eligible for working from home up to 3 days per week.For more information about PPI visit:Senior AccountantReporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant is responsible for a portfolio of accounting responsibilities, recording journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, involvement in monthly and quarterly reporting as well as assisting in the preparation of the annual budget.Key Responsibilities:Complete revenue coding for certain geographical locationsPerform bank reconciliationsOversee accounts receivable process to ensure accuracy and completionPrepare internal monthly reporting by office and monthly expense analysisAssist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly group reporting requirementsPrepare certain month-end general ledger account reconciliationsAssist in the preparation of the annual budgetEngage in actions that encourage, reflect and align with PPI’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments to our Advisors, their clients and our employeesEducation, Experience and SkillsMinimum of five years’ experience in accounting and financial reportingUndergraduate degree or diploma/certificate in a related field, e.g., Business Administration or Accounting and a professional accounting designation (CPA)Prior industry experience an asset, candidates directly from public practice will also be consideredFull cycle accounting knowledge and an analytical mindset to be able to see beyond the numbersOutstanding attention to detail and proven accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesEffective problem-solving capabilitiesA self-motivated, results driven individual with the ability to work independently while being committed to functioning as a team playerAbility to work under pressure, maintaining a professional image and attitudeIntermediate+ knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Power QueryExperience with Dynamics Great Plains or Business Central would be an asset, at a minimum some large ERP system experience is requiredWe thank all applicants for applying, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
