Overview:The Senior Accountant will have overall accounting responsibility for multiple European entities. A portion of their role will include processing Accounts payable invoices and payments. Responsibilities:

• Overall accounting responsibility for one or multiple Cook Medical legal entities.
• Manage month end close and be responsible for the P&L and Balance Sheet of these entities.
• Liaise with auditors for yearend close.
• Close teamwork with external advisors and other finance teams to ensure statutory and tax reporting is completed accurately and on time.
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) invoices, payments and other standard AP tasks for an entity.
• Ensure AP invoices have appropriate approvals.
• Reconciliation and review of the vendor ledger and AP bank account at month end.
• Initiate and lead Continuous improvement activities
• Support Global General Ledger Manager with ad hoc projects/analysis or tasks as required.
• Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered with in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf.

Qualifications:

• Degree educated and Accounting qualification required (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 3-5 years post qualification experience.
• Experience working in a multi-national corporation environment beneficial.
• Previously trained within a Top 10 or Big 4 firm up to manager level, advantageous.
• ERP system implementation experience a strong advantage.
• EMEA Statutory Accounting Expertise.
• Track record of Continuous Improvement.
• Ability to work independently and self-manage various projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing and cross-functional teamwork skills.
• Fluency in one or more European languages (other than English) an advantage.
• Willingness and availability to travel on company business.
