Central to this is the ambition to reach more entrepreneurs by leveraging lending partnerships through financial, community and/or non-profit organizations with the objective to provide access, capital and services to underrepresented or underserved entrepreneurs.The Community Banking Team is a vehicle for this strategy, designing, testing and deploying transformative financing solutions through meaningful relationships with external partners to create lasting impact on underrepresented groups.Reporting to the Director, Community Banking Operations, the team plays a key role by running the day-to-day operations of the products, holding product ownership/management, and working closely and collaboratively with colleagues in solution design, delivery and partnerships support to meet our ambitious goals. The team is looking for a generalist who can contribute to the operationalization of the products/partnerships across community banking (Loan Guarantee, HASCAP, Microfinancing, etc), as well as contribute to solution design/delivery of new products.CHALLENGES TO BE METAgainst this background, BDC is looking for a passionate, committed individual to join the Community Banking (CB) team. The core responsibilities will include:Support partnership launch (eg. co-lending/loan guarantees with Fis or community partners), management, and renewal by working closely with the delivery, partnership, and design teams.Contribute to developing a center of expertise to operationalize partnerships in a scalable wayCollect, analyze and execute detailed portfolio partner and solution analysis based on the needs of CB, including but not limited to the micro-lending solution.Recommend the renewal, modification, launch or withdrawal of existing CB partnerships or solutions by contributing to risk assessment (i.e. New Products and Business Initiative “NPBI”)Assist in the management of partnerships and solutions data reporting: track, measure and analyze KPIs to evaluate impact and identify areas for adjustmentCollaborate closely with the Product Management team to follow BDC product management best practices to the CB product portfolioDetermine impacts and support the implementation of new financial solutions or platforms, identify and land continuous improvement opportunities to CB processesBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Financing, Special Accounts and Accounting to support operationalization of CB product and partnership suiteAssist in the day-to-day transaction management (as needed).
