Purpose
The Senior Analyst – Financial Management & Reporting contributes to the overall success of Global Business Payments through a dedicated focus on operational efficiency and accuracy in expense processing, ledger reconciliation, client rewards calculation, budgeting & planning, financial analysis and ensuring that all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures, and Bank standards.
What You’ll Do:
Support Global Business Payments team as a financial partner and subject matter expert, leading monthly and quarterly financial activities, P/L analysis, payments to vendors, ledger investigations and communications to Global Finance.
- Monitor, audit and reconcile financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and policies.
- Work directly with Senior Leadership to identify reasons for fluctuation in both Interest and Non-Interest Revenues and Expenses and overall business performance.
- Conduct GL investigation and reconciliation, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors in the general ledger.
- Review and fulfill invoices, verifying the validity and completeness of invoices and forward payments in a timely manner, carrying out investigations when necessary.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Perform financial and staffing variance reporting, comparing actual results to budgeted targets and explaining the causes and impacts of any deviations.
- Collaborate with other departments internally and occasionally externally with vendors to address any financial issues or inquiries.
- Review and audit Commercial Card contracts, calculating rebates, fees and fraud totals, and issuing payments to cardholders.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3+ years of years in experience in banking industry, ideally in business analysis, financial management, commercial banking, or expense/revenue reporting
- Excellent communication skills, ability to present data to senior leadership while summarizing main points from financial analysis
- Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint. SQL, Power BI, and coding experience may be considered an asset.
- Experience covering quarterly and monthly financial reporting cycles and associated deadlines.
- Ability to understand and utilize resources to solve problems rapidly in a fast pace setting.
- General knowledge of banking products offered to Business Clients, particularly global payment trends and emerging payments technologies
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business administration/management, Finance, and/or Economics will be considered an asset
Work Arrangement:
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel domestically/internationally.
