Additionally, support for the accounting and financial reporting of the investment group including direct investments and various partnerships/funds, ensuring that all financial reporting is in accordance with IFRS.CHALLENGES TO BE METPrepare and present valuations to valuation committee semi-annuallyKey participant in the BDC Capital Fair Value Mark to Market, progress to lead new business units’ Fair Value.Review and when necessary, challenge Fair Value recommendationsSupport indirect/funds’ valuation every quarter.Support and backup Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial ReportingSupport calculation for Long Term Incentive PlansValue-add Special Projects for BDC CapitalWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORBachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance)Professional valuation designation (CBV)Other professional designations an asset (CPA, CFA)Minimum 5 years experience in valuationMinimum 3 years experience in accounting and/or financial auditStrong financial, accounting and analytical skillsStrong knowledge of MS ExcelExperience valuing investments in Venture Capital and Private Equity backed companies.Strong ability to learn and implement policies and procedures.Strong ability to work under pressure and meet set deadlines.Ability to grasp new concepts quickly.Initiative & creativityStrong teamwork skills and ability to foster relationships with internal customers.Bilingual in English and FrenchProudly one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, inclusive and accessible environment where all employees can thrive and feel empowered to bring their whole selves to work.
