The Strategic Finance & Pricing group is responsible for supporting the business in managing the financial performance of the product lines. This includes acting as a business partner to the lines of business for the organic and inorganic growth opportunities, pricing strategies, evaluation of business initiatives, and product profitability framework.

About the Team: As the Senior Analyst for Strategic Finance & Pricing, reporting directly to the Director, you will collaborate closely with our various teams to drive product line performance and deliver complex execute financial models to evaluate the performance and drive decision making. Your main focus will be partnering with various teams across the company, particularly in Sales, Product, Marketing, and Risk across all product lines. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work alongside cross-functional stakeholders supporting execution of product strategies, building financial models, and deriving analytical insights. We are seeking someone who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment and excels at working with big data to generate impactful insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed financial analysis of product lines and operating business segments, taking into account key underlying business drivers.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and monthly/quarterly reports by seamlessly integrating data from systems and sources, including market data (i.e., GL systems, production systems, sales systems, and offline spreadsheets), into a single repository/database for analytics and management reporting.
  • Undertake financial analysis related to new business initiatives at sales channel, or product level to aid evaluation and decision-making.
  • Evaluate the impact of pricing changes on business performance and recommend appropriate pricing strategies.
  • Maintain up to date profitability targets taking into account Capital and debt mix, revenue drivers, loss profile and cost base.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects/requests as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting; MBA/CFA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a focus on analytics and financial planning; Financial Services experience preferred.
  • Understanding of Financial services products including Installment Lending, Cards and Retail POS lending is desired.
  • Understanding of IFRS accounting principles, especially those relating to financial institutions is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and modeling skills.
  • Strategic thinking and data mining skills.
  • Proven ability to interact and communicate effectively across various functions and build partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Expert MS Office skills, especially Excel & PowerPoint (VBA and Access a plus).
  • Excellent written and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Bilingual preferred (English and French).
