Senior Assistant Director of Financial Aid

Bryn Mawr College has an opening for a Senior Assistant Director of Financial Aid.

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Dean of Financial Aid, the Senior Assistant Director of Financial Aid assists in the administration of financial aid to our students and families. The Senior Assistant Director is responsible for quality customer service and delivery of financial aid to prospective and current students while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines. The Senior Assistant Director will counsel and advise students about various aspects of the financial aid office, including financial aid eligibility, application procedures, aid programs, and costs; perform need analysis for domestic and international students, determine financial aid eligibility and prepare financial aid awards; and other duties as assigned by the Dean of Financial Aid.   The ability to individualize information to the particular needs and situation of the student is required to help families understand various funding resources and the College’s financial aid policies and procedures.

Bachelor’s degree required with five years of financial aid experience preferred or any combination of experience, education or training which provides the required skills, abilities and knowledge. Computer skills, communication skills, problem solving, and customer service skills are all desired; PowerFAIDs experience preferred.
