As a key member of our team, you will drive financial excellence by preparing accurate statutory accounts and tax computations, and providing expert tax advisory services. You’ll build and nurture strong client relationships, ensuring their satisfaction and delivering innovative solutions to their financial challenges.In this role, you’ll also train and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Meeting deadlines, addressing client queries promptly, and engaging in networking and business development activities will be essential. Additionally, you’ll play a crucial part in enhancing our practice procedures, contributing to the overall success of the firm. If you’re a qualified accountant with strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a client-focused mindset, we want you to join our dynamic team and make a real impact!Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of complete and accurate statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited liability companies with minimal supervision and minimal Manager review notes.
  • Preparation of complete and accurate corporation tax and self-assessment tax computations and returns.
  • Providing tax advisory services to companies and individuals.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships, ensuring the highest level of service in line with the Gravita Way – Client Service Standards.
  • Working as part of a team, including training, reviewing, and supervising more junior team members when necessary.
  • Meeting both internal and external deadlines as set by management and clients.
  • Responding to and dealing with client queries effectively and timely.
  • Undertaking networking and business development activities for the firm.
  • Performing other reasonable business tasks as requested or required within the practice.
  • Assisting managers with overseeing and implementing general practice procedures to improve performance and efficiency.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (AAT, ACCA, ACA) with at least 3 years of experience in practice, committed to continued professional development.
  • Demonstrable background within an established and reputable accountancy firm(s).
  • Experienced and confident with FRS 105 and FRS 102 1a frameworks.
  • Proficient with accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Highly organised, with strong technical capabilities and excellent attention to detail.
  • A good team player with excellent communication skills and a friendly telephone manner.

  • Our standard working week is a 37.5-hour week on a hybrid basis (with up to 50% of your time across the month home based and the other 50% office based)
  • Core working hours are 10am – 4pm Monday to Friday
