Senior Associate, Investment SteeringHamilton, BermudaThe Investment Steering team plays a pivotal role in the Investment function collaborating with the Strategic Asset Allocation team, Portfolio Management, Legal entities, and other stakeholders to efficiently and effectively implement the division’s investment strategy.DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your essential responsibilities include?
- Represent the Investment function to legal entities across the division, contributing to the optimal allocation of the division’s investments across legal entity balance sheets, taking into account regulatory and solvency requirements as well as tax, liquidity and accounting considerations.
- Establish appropriate legal entity investment guidelines and facilitating the development and maintenance of the investment governance framework, standards and policies within the authority of the Chief Investment Officer (CIO)
- Provide dedicated support to the CIO office
- Division and legal entity reporting and presentations
- Develop division investment plan, implementation at legal entity level, and monitoring of associated KPI’s
- Develop annual investment earnings budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts
- Contribute to transversal activities of AXA Group through the Monitoring Centre of Expertise
- Coordinate the allocation of assets to European legal entity balance sheets in various jurisdictions considering insurance specific aspects of capital, risk and liquidity, in close collaboration with portfolio management and legal entities
- Co-lead the annual investment budgeting process and monitoring of investment results. Be involved in the quarterly internal and external reporting cycle, including the preparation of presentations to executive management within AXA XL and AXA Group
- Contribute actively to the development of tools and quantitative frameworks to analyze and optimize legal entity liquidity and risk asset allocations in close collaboration with colleagues from Strategic Asset Allocation, Financial Risk management and Investment Strategy
- Monitor the worldwide development of Solvency II regulatory regime with regards to investments and asset risk
- Draft and align guidelines, investment management agreements and other investment policies applied across legal entities and the investment operation
- Regular communication with key stakeholders across the various functions and teams – in particular legal entity CFOs and finance teams, CROs and risk management team, strategic asset allocation, portfolio management, investment operations and reporting, financial risk management, accounting, legal, tax, compliance and rating agency teams
You will report to the Head of Investment Steering.QualificationsSHARE your talentWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:Required Skills and Abilities:
- Chartered Accountant or CFA
- Minimum of 7-10 years investment steering specific experience or similar role
- Excellent working knowledge of Solvency II capital regime and capital efficiency
- Robust understanding of IFRS and local GAAP standards across various jurisdictions
- Experience with regulatory interaction particularly Central Bank of Ireland (CBI)
- Excellent presentation / oral / written communication skills
- Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills
