You will be joining a team of individuals that are passionate about innovation and solving business problems by using automation. You will perform the evaluation, selection, design and build of new and emerging tools and techniques that support the automation integration. You will collaborate with automation solution teams to understand product specific priorities and support and execute on those plans. You will develop and drive continuous integrations to achieve delivery strategies and work with the Platform Automation team in support of DevOps automation framework and environments. You will provide technical leadership, standards and best practices to Technology teams during design, build, configuration, testing, implementation and maintenance phases of initiatives/projects involving automation.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How you’ll succeedLeadership & Communication – Collaborate with senior leaders across the company and make informed recommendations to enhance automation related solutions. Weigh business needs against technology offerings, security concerns and provide recommendations to improve automation, which are practical and achievable.Governance – Proactively contribute to governance initiatives in the development of company policies, audit requirements etc. Provide technical or business guidance to clients within and outside your own department.Engineering – Lead evaluation, selection, design and implementation of new and emerging products and techniques; support the development of business/technology proposals by estimating implementation costs and evaluating options; provide comprehensive senior level technical consulting to other IT senior management and senior technical teams; provide subject matter expertise on specific existing technologies. Manage the ongoing vitality of the technology throughout its lifecycle.Automation – Create test automation frameworks with continuous integration and continuous deployment to production. Engage resources within CIBC or CIBC partners to understand manual tasks to translate and break down into smaller work packages to be addressed during SCRUM sprints.Who you areYou can demonstrate experience in Design, implementation and support of technologies and technology-based solutions dealing in automation. You have a clear understanding of application/product lifecycle. You have the knowledge and understanding of marketplace experience, developments and trends as the relate to automation. You are skilled with the following scripting languages and utilities: Ansible Automation Platform, Python, YAML, SQL and BASH. You have experience using GitHub, Artifactory, and Jenkins. You are well versed in DevOps best practices. You are experienced in building and configuring infrastructure, databases or middleware products such as VMware, Linux, Oracle, SQL or JBoss. It is an asset if you have experience with Playbook conversion to Ansible, ServiceNow integration to Ansible, credential management using CyberArk/Hashicorp, CI/CD workflow pipeline best practices or are familiar with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker and OpenShift.You have strong knowledge of IT Standards, Policies and Procedures and have the ability to use and administer the organization’s technology practices, standards and procedures appropriately to diverse situations.You act like an owner.
