We want to hear from you.Working closely with the BC management team and reporting to the Director of Communications, Operations, the Senior Business Partner will be the first in this role, and responsible for positioning Pomerleau in the BC market to create brand awareness and support business growth. As the primary point of contact in communications, the Senior Business Partner has extensive experience in public and stakeholder relations and marketing. As a member of the Communications Marketing team (primarily based in Montréal), the key responsibilities of the role include:What You Will Do1. Strategic Communications

  • Develop, implement and measure communication plans aligned with business priorities;
  • Advise, coach local leaders and teams on their communications and stakeholder relations.

2. Building the Pomerleau Brand in BC

  • Identify opportunities to showcase Pomerleau’s expertise, people and innovations through thought leadership opportunities, conferences (and sponsorships), public relations initiatives, and others;
  • Develop relationships with local industry publications and media; prepare spokesperson, etc.

3. Caring for Community Relations

  • Evaluate each project’s community relations’ risk profile and opportunities, implement action plan, when needed;
  • Identify local philanthropic initiatives and develop partnerships;
  • Create customized worksite signage, when possible.

This role could be for you if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Autonomous and proactive;
  • Ability to be both strategic and tactics-focused;
  • Solid English writing skills;
  • Ability to develop trusted and collaborative relationships with senior leaders;
  • Ability to provide strategic recommendations and to influence;
  • Capacity to coordinate several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, evolving environment with diverse individuals and groups;
  • Knowledge of the infrastructure and construction sectors will be considered a strong asset

Important information:

  • The position requires frequent visits to Pomerleau construction sites in BC throughout the year.

Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above.
