Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?Seeking for a results-driven professional who thrives on delivering high-performing applications for Anti-Money Laundering & Financial Crime IT team managing Investigations, Case management workflows and Suspicious Transactions Regulatory submissions. Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with business and IT partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutionsThis role analyzes information technology (IT) requirements in business processes, through requirements elicitation, solutions identification, risk analysis and collaboration across (IT) teams. Applies experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.What will you do?Collaborate with Business partners and technology teams to develop, troubleshoot, enhance, and document components, as per the requirements and detailed designTranslate requirements into functional specifications, and coordinate design phases, while identifying, tracking, and resolving technical issuesReview technical design documents, understand how the design will be used in the code development process, and facilitate meetings to design, troubleshoot, and execute projectsParticipate in walkthrough reviews of technical specifications, programs, code, and unit test plansConduct thorough unit testing, often developing and leveraging automated unit testing frameworks, and improve performance of single functions through performance tuningPlan design/implementation activities, ensure technical solution quality, provide third-level support for various technologies, and drive technical platform evolution and improvementsEstimate activities/tasks required to perform design, coding, and unit testingWhat do you need to succeed?
Must-have3-4 years experience in a Business Systems Analyst role in Technology teamsExperience defining and documenting complex functional business logicExpertise in data mapping and creating data mapping specifications.Familiarity with ETL processes and experience with Big Data and Terra Data platformsExpertise in gathering, analyzing and documenting business rules for processing data.Expertise in test planning, test case preparation and testing of applications and data mapping.Familiarity with SQL database and experience with scripting languages (SQL)Nice-to-haveStrong experience working in Agile projects, using Jira, creating user stories, and overall knowledge of the Agile FrameworkKnowledge of Anti Money Laundering and Financial Crime offensesKnowledgeable on business process modeling, process mappingKnowledge of IT delivery methodologies: Agile, Iterative Waterfall and WaterfallWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, encourage progressive thinking to keep growing, and believe in working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
