To work alongside nursing/medical staff and family members to competently provide agreed clinical skills and individualised care for a child with complex health needs within the home, school and hospital environments, liaising with other professionals as necessary.To accurately record, collate, monitor and provide feedback of patient information to the Team Leader and/or Care Manager, initiating actions as necessary.Main duties of the job
- At the direction of the senior member of staff assist in the delivery of planned nursing care for a child.
- Ensure nursing practices are maintained with the Trust’s policies, procedures and clinical guidelines for self and others. To apply them to the community environment.
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity and sensitivity to the individual needs of the child/family.
- Pay full regard to Health and Safety practices which include hand hygiene. This must also include mandatory annual attendance to CPR, fire lecture, manual handling and child protection awareness

The cost of joining the update service is £13 per year, and applicants are liable to cover this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust.
