We are looking for a Band 6, or an experienced Band 5 Physiotherapist, to join our friendly and supportive Community Therapy Team (CTT).The post holder will be working in the Community Therapy Team based in SW Surrey covering Guildford and Waverley areas. We provide Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy to adults in their community, including those who have neurological conditions, frailty or have had orthopaedic surgery. Our main base is at Milford Hospital, with a satellite office at Guildford. The role involves providing rehabilitation to patients in their own homes and providing support to staff as required.The post holder will be supported to further develop their knowledge and skills in their chosen area of speciality. They will have professional responsibility for themselves and for the staff they supervise. They will be expected to contribute to the on-going development of clinical practice, standards, research, as well as policies, protocols, guidelines and service development.Main duties of the jobThe post holder should have previous experience in working with patients with neurological, musculoskeletal /orthopaedic, and complex elderly conditions.A Band 5 on a development pathway can be considered for this post. Confirmation of progression to Band 6 will be subject to achievement of key objectives, depending on person’s knowledge and experience.You will be expected to work with the team leaders to promote an efficient, effective and productive rehab pathway from triage to discharge.You will need to be able to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team and be able to promote innovation and improvement within CTT. You must be well organised and an excellent communicator and be willing to work flexibly. Time management skills and the ability to deal with caseload/staff demands are essential.Applicants must have HCPC registration to be considered for this post and have had experience working within the NHS in a clinical role.
