Job Description:OverviewHaymarket is a successful international specialist media company with over 60 market-leading brands. The Events team is responsible for delivering over 70 annual B2B events ranging from awards ceremonies, forums, conferences and networking events.We have an opportunity for a Senior Conference Producer to join the team to work on high profile and engaging events primarily for our Marcomms, Charity and PR Brands. You will play a key role in developing the content ensuring our events remain at the leading edge and meet the changing needs of our growing audience. We are looking for someone who is able to build on the success of our events such as PR360 and PMW Unlocked.ResponsibilitiesThe role will focus on content research, working with key stakeholders across the industry, programme writing and speaker acquisition. The successful candidate will report into the Head of Content and will be responsible for a series of allocated events as well as team collaboration on the large scale events.This role would suit a conference producer with a minimum of 18 months experience looking to take the next step in their career. A proven track record of delivering the full content programme for commercial events is a must.Experience

  • Proven experience producing commercial conferences as the content lead
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent research skills
  • Experience in a publishing/ media company is a bonus but not essential
  • Experience of topic generation would be beneficial
  • Experience in dealing with high level stakeholders, speakers and ability to manage high expectations
  • Experience of working within an events team as a content lead, working within set processes and timelines
  • Ability to run events on site and work across project teams
  • Some knowledge of our Brands and sectors is a plus but not essential
  • Experience in implementing new event formats

Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria

  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to speak face-to-face with senior executives in the market
  • Ability to multi-task on many different projects, whilst remaining highly-organised and hitting key event deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong copywriting ability
  • Excellent organisational skills and time assessment
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and working under pressure
  • Creative and innovative
  • Excellent at building relationships and working with a range of stakeholders
  • Used to working collaboratively with both event managers and marketers
  • Used to working collaboratively with both editorial and commercial teams
  • Work within our Sustainable Event Management system and be an advocate for sustainability at events and ensure line reports are adhering to SEMS processes.
