The WRc Waste and Resources team are looking to grow our expert consultancy team to support our clients and meet their sustainability goals.We are seeking a science trained Senior Consultant ideally with experience in the Waste and Resources sector to join our team based in Swindon. This is a permanent position open to full-time applicants with flexible working hours and mixed office and home working with flexibility in the split.The role provides wide ranging project and development opportunities. For the right candidate the position would build on your academic and practical experience and see you providing commercial and technical leadership within .Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide commercial and technical support for consultancy projects
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs, identify opportunities and lead development of proposals
  • Contribute to wider service offerings arising from resource recovery and process evaluation, and the economic impacts of changing regulation
  • Perform or direct the team in data analysis and modelling and preparation of interpretative reports to share findings with clients
  • Contribute to the development of business plans and new business offerings
  • Produce high quality proposals to meet the requirements of a wide range of clients
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior colleagues to support and inspire their technical development

Person Specification:

  • Experience in the waste and resources sector
  • Minimum of a degree in a STEM discipline, preferably a chemical or environmental science
  • Be personally committed to continued professional development and assist and lead in the development of the business and new opportunities
  • Proven skills in client contact, and proposal and strong capabilities technical proposal and report writing
  • Good knowledge of waste and product legislation and its practical implementation

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary £45,000 to £60,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Opportunity with the right skills and experience for promotion to Principal Consultant
