Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visitWhat You’ll Be DoingAs a Senior Consultant, Business Effectiveness and Planning you will be responsible for contributing to the maintenance of the Commercial Banking portfolio through a variety of credit and portfolio maintenance activities, profitability analysis, data analytics and business planning exercises. Where possible, digitization and automation of reporting outputs is strongly preferred to assist in customizable real-time reporting to multiple end-users with an emphasis on developing rolling analysis of performance trends over time. You will work with limited direction, capable of playing whatever role is required from team mate to Analyst to Project Leader depending on scope of the assignment and circumstance. You will bring a focus on delivering the projects, capabilities and support that informs senior management’s ability to respond to situations, capitalize on emerging opportunities and safeguard the commercial credit portfolio. You are accountable for understanding needs of various stakeholders (line of business, governance, legal, risk, security, finance) and ensuring alignment across various stakeholders regarding the projects to which you are assigned.   • Analytics – Working with the Commercial Banking executive, lead the analytics work with respect to new/ amended projects and strategic initiatives. This would include analyses/ strategy in support of sales model, performance management, enhanced reporting for front-line, MIS support for new and/or expanded initiatives.
  • Project Management – Within the Client Experience team, manage meetings, agendas and minutes. Capture and follow-up on action items, to ensure deadlines are met. Maintain a project SharePoint site, including required project documents.
  • Credit Maintenance Initiatives – Support the Portfolio Management team in the development and execution of credit maintenance initiatives. Provide assistance on the management of assigned programs and tasks. Contribute to the orderly completion of assigned portfolio maintenance tasks relating to key activities such as Business Planning Exercise, Quarterly High Risk, Expiry Reporting, RIL Reporting, etc. Project Management for OSFI, Credit and other required portfolio management exercises, as assigned. Work with critical Bank reporting systems to develop reporting for pipeline, profitability and credit maintenance asks.
  • Other – Create and maintain SharePoint sites. Organize logistics for project management progress calls. Support and monitor shared mailboxes. Support updates to digital tools where appropriate, including Salesforce.

Who you are

  • You have proficiency with CIBC’s internal accounting, risk management and other management information systems.
  • You have working knowledge of Commercial Banking and Wealth Management’s key priorities and initiatives to meet business objectives. You have working knowledge of Commercial Banking’s products and services, structure and operations.
  • You have advanced proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. You also possess a high level of proficiency with CIBC’s internal accounting, risk management and other management information systems.
  • You have basic project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling skills
  • You have developed writing skills in order to prepare recommendations and business presentations, etc.
  • You have developed influential skills to elicit support for Commercial Banking initiatives across LOB and level
  • You have developed SharePoint skills.
