The role will work with people at all levels in the organization from senior business-unit leaders and corporate management to business partners. Expectations would include a hands-on teamwork approach to solving problems, planning, managing change and people related to all aspects of the crisis management to support business planning, preparation and recovery.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remoteHow You’ll SucceedCrisis Management – The Crisis Management Consultant will support the strategy, development, implementation, maintenance, and execution of CIBC Global Crisis Management Program. This includes the development and alignment of the CM program into the Regions. Leads and/or participates in Crisis Management Planning Workgroups Supports development and documentation of the Crisis Management Plan, Crisis Management Operational Plans and Procedures, Crisis Playbooks, associated Training Program and Communication Strategies. Develop decision management framework for various crisis scenarios. Designs the plan for and leads the continuous improvement for crisis management program activities, processes and documents based on feedback from exercises, lessons learned from events and best practices. The position also carries responsibility for governance and reporting on Crisis Management activities as required for internal audit and regulatory requirements. In the event of a major business interruption, the incumbent serves as an important member of the CIBC Recovery Organization to contribute strongly to the overall recovery effortOperational/Business Effectiveness – Manages the development and communication of the enterprise wide crisis management plan in line with the business continuity management program and policy; including tools, templates and instructional guides. Work with appropriate leads and stakeholders to govern the development of playbooks for various crisis scenario’s, research risk situations, assess ,identify appropriate escalation actions and operational mitigation strategies, and communication strategies using prescribed systems and templates. Participates in internal and industry benchmarking activities.Training Development – Develop training strategy and manages the design and implementation of crisis management testing; including: tabletop and corporate simulation exercises to ensure an ongoing capability exists to meet CIBC’s overall recovery objectives. Develop and provide training and ongoing support to Crisis Management Team and stakeholder across the enterprise in delivery of the framework and plan. Assists with developing comprehensive presentations on proposed or modified training solutions providing factual and conceptual information to achieve business objectives and goalsCompliance – Ensures regulatory requirements are reviewed against required standard practices and implemented, responding to industry and regulatory requirements and providing detailed metrics based reporting for Crisis Management activities Undertakes key CM support role to the Crisis Management and Task Force Teams in the event of crisis. Provides crisis management expertise and specific knowledge about the Crisis Management Plan and processes, assisting with invocation, response and recovery activities as required.Who You AreYou can demonstrate experience in Microsoft Suite – Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access, Project etc. along with an Accreditation and certificate in Business Continuity Management (BCM) professional practices – Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) or Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and/or relative Crisis Management Training. Must have formal exposure to Crisis Management Technique with at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst along while possessing strong relationship management/ building, presentation and communication skills – oral and written.You can demonstrate knowledge in.
