If your skills align with our position description below, we are looking forward to hearing from you!This position is a full-time opportunity based in Lloydminster, Alberta.Hours: Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM.Requirement: Must be eligible to work in Canada.This is an on onsite position.This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dealership business model who is willing to champion complex transactions, being solution oriented and resources when there is little finance guidance.The Opportunity:Reporting to the General Manager with a functional line into the Director of Finance for Reesink Canada, the Senior Controller for Tingley will be the main point of contact for Tingley’s financial control and reporting including the month end close process, reconciliation of accounts, subledgers, treasury, audit compliance and operational reporting. Providing first-in-class customer service and sales to build long-term relationships.In a Typical day, YOU will:

  • Prepare internal financial and management reports, as well as monthly financial reports to external parties.
  • Prepare and oversee the year-end audit process by coordinating with external auditors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Oversee month-end reconciliations of GL accounts to support month-end processes and reporting.
  • Maintain Accounts Receivable subledger.
  • Oversee and post all bank entries, process portal and EFT payments and prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee commission reports for management and sales team.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA designation (preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years experience in a financial management/department management role.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience of managing the Finance department.
  • Experience within a high-growth organization.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to communicate ideas clearly.
  • A natural people person who can communicate and collaborate with a team.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proven experience in Managing Processes, Financial Software, Developing Standards, Auditing, Accounting, Tracking Budget Expenses, Analyzing Information.
  • Dealership experience is nice to have.

Experience:

  • Financial management role: 10 years (preferred).

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

  • Requires ability to spend long periods of time sitting or standing at your workstation.
  • Ability to climb a flight of stairs to access the office.
  • Much of your time will be spent on the phone or computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
