We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.As a Data Engineer you will be a part of the IDEA team, performing ETL activities, data modeling and building the data infrastructure that powers effective decision-making. You will build a solution to process large datasets and develop data models to facilitate informed decision-making and business process optimization in order to automate several critical processes within the organization. You will be working in a cross functional team that supports various businesses and you will have an opportunity to work with different kinds of datasets. You will collaborate with other developers and business partners to deliver medium – high complexity initiatives aligned with IDEA and GFT strategic objectives.What will you do?Work in partnership with other developers on the team to build data pipelines to support data models and ensure data quality throughout processing, automation, and modelingDeep dive into advanced analyses, providing robust models tied to business objectives and outcomes, and being able to derive meaningful conclusions from itManage multiple complex projects, identifying dependencies and working on parallel tracks independentlyPerform ad hoc analysis to quickly solve time sensitive funnel conversion issues.Collaborate with the development team to track and resolve data quality issues or discrepancies.Support the development of data products and tools to facilitate self-service and enable analytics to scale across the company.API services development and enhancementWhat do you need to succeed?Must Have5+ years of experience in data engineering, performance optimization for large data driven applications.Experience with multiple integration/ETL patterns: batch, streaming, API/microservicesData integration/data ingestion across structured and unstructured data sources, along with various enterprise applicationsWorking knowledge of modern data architecture and platforms: cloud, data mesh, Data Lakehouse, delta lakeWorking knowledge of SQL language, proficiency with at least one programming language preferably Python, Spark, Non-relational databases, Airflow, Kafka, Redis.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creativelyExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersExperience with OpenShift, S3Ability to work independently and in a teamNice to HaveKnowledge of machine learning and data science concepts and tools.Knowledge of any other programming languages such as Javascript or JavaUnderstanding and passion for machine learning/AIExperience working with at least one of Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and/or other DBMS platformsWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
