Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Senior Data Scientist will be leveraging advanced data science techniques to drive strategic decision-making for GAM Data and Analytics. His/her expertise in finance, optimization, quantitative analysis, and machine learning will be critical in developing and deploying innovative solutions that enhance our asset management capabilities.What will you do?Develop and implement predictive models using machine learning techniques to forecast market trends and asset performanceDesign, develop, and deploy machine learning models for various applications across GAMCollaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their technical requirements and translate them into actionable data initiatives.Stay abreast of the latest advancement in AI and machine learning to continuously improve model performance and reliabilityLead the productionization of data science models, ensuring robust and scalable deploymentImplement interactive features and functionalities to enable dynamic data exploration and user-driven insights. Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and accessibility of dashboard applications for seamless user experience across devices.Utilize tools like Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce, or Plotly, to create interactive and informative dashboards that empower stakeholders to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.Incorporate advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modeling, clustering, and anomaly detection into dashboard visualizations to uncover hidden patterns and trends.Collaborate with data scientists to integrate advanced analytics algorithms into dashboard applications for real-time decision support and scenario analysis.What do you need to succeed?Must haves:Proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistical models, and optimization techniques, experience in portfolio construction and optimization techniques preferred.Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL and familiarity with data science libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, scikit-learn)Demonstrated expertise in machine learning, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and Large Language models.Understanding of business context, objectives, and requirements. Ability to align ML solutions with business goals, identify opportunities for ML applications, and communicate the value and potential impact to the organization.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Nice-to-have:Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, or related field.Extensive experience in the finance industry, particularly in asset management or investment bankingWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
