Overview:Community First Solutions is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to transform our resident lifestyle programs at our senior living campuses spanning from the Cincinnati, OH to Dayton, OH.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR…The Senior Director of Resident Lifestyle is responsible for developing and implementing programs of interest and meaning to residents in order to enhance their lives and exceed their active aging lifestyle expectations. This leader will oversee all programming and activities across multi-site and life plan communities. In addition, this position will also oversee our Wellness Centers, Trips & Travel and Volunteer programming. This position is responsible for designing and leading innovative programming, promoting resident engagement and ensuring clinical regulatory compliance across all levels of care.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE…

  • An Activity Director Certification is required. Geriatric or Dementia Activity Specialist certification preferred.
  • A Minimum of five years’ experience in health/wellness or activities field is required; 2-3 years prior experience with leadership required; experience in a long-term care facility or memory care unit required.

This position is a regional based role requiring travel to different senior living campuses. The ideal candidate will have experience managaing multiple locations and executing a broad array of engaging programs that meet the needs of a diverse resident population including newly retired seniors seeking an active lifestyle, seniors in need of physical assistance, and seniors in varying stages of memory loss.PERKS & BENEFITS…COMPENSATION: Base pay ranging $73,000-80,000/yr depending on experience and certifications Responsibilities:WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…

  • Leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of company-wide wellness and activities programming.
  • Researches, develops, evaluates, and modifies community events and programs
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure lifestyle programming is aligned with prospective resident interest and needs.
  • Works with the Marketing team to manage all communication and promotion of resident lifestyle information including all publications, flyers, and digital tools.
  • Manage team within Resident Lifestyle, providing strategic guidance and support for program implementation and coordinating team across multiple sites and levels of care.
  • Works closely with AVP of Quality and Compliance to ensure programs are dynamic and maintain compliance with standards for clinical quality and documentation.
  • Builds relationships with external organizations that expand our lifestyle programming and further opportunities for residents to engage in arts, volunteering, and other community programs.
  • Responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of programs for individuals with physical and cognitive impairments in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies for residents in Memory Care Units.
  • Develop and coordinate a dynamic and active volunteer programs.
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge base and understanding of national wellness and activities trends designed to fulfill mental, social, physical, and spiritual needs of residents. This includes primary focus on fall prevention, chronic disease management, evidence-based programming, preventative health, and dementia care.
  • Develop and manage budgets and operating plans, collaborating with department leaders and shared services teams for inventory management, accounting, billing, reporting, and the collection and reporting of utilization data.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and training protocols on all program operations and equipment/facility issues. This includes regulatory compliance as applicable.
  • Ensures a routine wellness presence at family care conferences, resident meetings and corporate/company-wide meetings, as applicable.
  • Performs Lifestyle programming and acts as interim for positions within division that may be vacant.

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:Education: Bachelor degree or higher in health or business-related field is required. Master’s degree preferred. Specialization in exercise physiology, health promotion, or health administration is desired.Licenses or other required certifications: Activity Director Certification required. Geriatric or Dementia Activity Specialist certification preferred.Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience in health/wellness or activities field; 2-3 years prior experience with leadership required; experience in a long-term care facility or memory care unit required.Specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities: Knowledge of health/wellness concepts and practices; excellent communication skills; able to work extended hours at times; flexible schedule with occasional evenings and weekends; assertive/analytical personality; ability to multitask and stay on task through completion; ability to self-motivate.
