A successful candidate will have the following…
FH is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Strategy who will work closely with several leadership teams worldwide, and other strategic stakeholders in the continued development and execution of the organization’s transformation strategy. Will support the generation of concepts, models, and prototypes for the strategy and manage execution by integrating the plan across departments, offices, and affiliate offices. Will also lead problem-solving to enhance overall organizational performance in installing and realizing the strategic plan and building / consolidating business reviews, annual planning and budgeting, and related accountability mechanisms. Experience in building new ventures is required, with comfort for a high level of ambiguity and the ability to simultaneously strengthen the strategic performance of the current core business while developing/building the transformed future state. This role will also manage critical global internal communications aspects related to the strategy and organizational performance and work to support and align with some critical aspects of change management.

  • A vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a Christian commitment to serving the poor, and full agreement with FH’s Christian beliefs.
  • Typically, 10+ years of experience in strategic development with at least 7 years at a manager level or higher in a global organization.
  • Experience in strategy consultancy is a huge plus.
  • Exposure to organizational transformation.
  • Exposure and experience working with/in multiple sectors (public, private, and social) are a huge plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze high volumes of data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time in the US and internationally to insecure countries or locations.

What you’ll do…
As the Sr. Director of Strategy, you will:
Support the organization’s strategic plan and organizational performance
○ Support the organization’s strategic plan, working with all areas to move the plan forward each year.
○ Help executive leadership implement strategy in all areas, systems, policies, and procedures, including risk management.
○ Work with the Chief of Impact and Innovation to coordinate regular meetings with leaders to guide the strategy’s tactics and goals to completion.
○ Develop, refine, and implement strategy delivery systems (including processes, tools, and methodologies) alongside global leadership.
Support organizational transformation
○ Facilitate and participate in developing strategic plans for installing and realizing the organization’s transformation. 
○ Support the Chief of Impact and Innovation in working with leaders across the organization to ensure their alignment and support for the organizational strategy and the transformation journey. 
○ Build systems and processes to enable systematic forecasting and identification of new trends and the strategic interpretation of how they affect the strategic plan and transformation, including any key recalibrations required.
Problem-solving
○ Deploy high-level analytical skills in supporting and advising the organization and departments in problem-solving for key strategic bottlenecks and organizational performance challenges.
Management functions
○ Provide leadership and coaching for staff within the strategy team and beyond on matters related to the strategic plan and the transformation.
○ Manage and maintain the annual income and expense budget and other departmental financial measures and strategic initiatives.
