If you have an ambition to make significant contributions to a global leader and a passion for sustainable business practices, we invite you to apply.What You’ll Do for Us:PACS lead for The Coca-Cola Company global water strategy in partnership with TI&SC, Procurement, Legal. The role includes direct senior-level government policy engagement as well as strategic advice to OUs, material risk/trend assessment, developing and maintaining governance on reporting against public goals, collaborative incident/crises management with OUs, global partnership development & execution, media engagement in coordination with communications team, and external representation, including with investors, as well as limited customer and senior management engagement.Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic prioritization: In partnership networked partners, provide policy input for public water goals, engage governments and stakeholders on water-related issues (water scarcity and quality challenges, water fees, supplier water usage). Given that most facilities producing Coca-Cola beverages are bottling partner owned, this role requires bottling partner, OU expertise or business/operations expertise with another company as well as top-level collaboration skills with both bottling partners and internal company functional peers (TI&SC, Procurement, Legal).
  • Public Goal Reporting Governance: In partnership networked partners, develop, maintain and implement data/reporting governance to ensure accurate water goal public progress reporting, including coordination with EY assurance partners on preassessments and assurance.
  • Provide in-market support: Support Franchise & OU teams during crisis events (water scarcity or overabundance) through planning, strategic counsel, messaging and govt & stakeholder engagement advice to identify potential solutions to diffuse tensions and address immediate & long-term challenges. With customer and marketing teams, provide strategic sustainability advice on collaborative efforts.
  • Partners & NGO outreach: Development & management as well as system engagement/ alignment and execution of partnerships; Collaboration is also a key attribute for this leader who must engage our implementation partners listening to their input, while engaging other external divergent stakeholders driving a positive reputation for the company. Leadership and corporate representation on local/regional collaborative associations and organizations (such as, 2030 Water Resources Group, WWF, The Nature Conservancy); Engagement with NGOs and civil society actors to help the system manage relationships & reputation.
  • Recognized Leadership: Internal and external (industry-wide) recognized sustainability expert and thought-leader; Represent the Company with policy makers, in external public speaking engagements, media interviews on sustainability issues; local spokesperson on sustainability issues. Represent the company with investors, which requires the ability to operate with a high degree of independence and autonomy, effectively communicating the status of our sustainability strategy, and our path forward.

Requirements & Qualifications:Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred, complementary experience.Related Work Experience: 5-10 years’ experience in public affairs in public, private or NGO sector; SME knowledge of water issues; Coca-Cola Operating Unit or bottling system experience is highly preferred; Working understanding across multi-cultural, matrixed organizations; Developed stakeholder network; Good interpersonal skills, including an ability to make progress and influence teams and groups of individuals to achieve company goals; ability to communicate complex issues to drive tangible business actions.Candidate Attributes: The development and recruitment of modern leaders who demonstrate specific growth behaviors is critical to company long-term progress.
