  • Salary Range: $150,000–$183,040

Role Overview
This position offers the opportunity to lead the design and development of electrical systems for diverse projects, including federal, ports, and educational facilities. You’ll guide design teams, manage projects, and mentor junior engineers while delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Design Engineering

  • Conduct field surveys and gather information for electrical system designs.
  • Prepare site assessment reports and schematic electrical designs.

Design Engineering

  • Create power single-line and riser diagrams.
  • Perform electrical calculations, including arc flash, short circuit, and load flow using ETAP/SKM.
  • Design low and medium voltage systems while adhering to National Electrical Code and local standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, and architectural professionals.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple large-scale projects, collaborating with senior engineers and sub-consultants.
  • Mentor junior engineers and emerging professionals.
  • Prepare and present proposals for clients, fostering strong business relationships.

Construction Administration

  • Respond to RFIs and review equipment submittals.
  • Conduct punch walks and prepare detailed punch list reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical system design for federal, ports, or educational facilities.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Technical Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of National Electrical Code; familiarity with Washington State Codes and Unified Facilities Criteria is a plus.
  • Experience with electrical infrastructure design for diverse facility types.
