Job description
We are currently working with one of the world’s leading engineering and consulting groups, who are looking to hire a Senior E&P / MEP Engineer to join their always expanding engineering team In Birmingham. The suitable candidate will be an ambitious Senior E&P or Mechanical Design Engineer with strong leadership and interpersonal skills combined with commercial awareness and be able to play an important role within the context of a team.
This role can also be based out of their other regional offices such as, York, Reading or Manchester and benefits from the flexibility of a hybrid working approach.
Main Duties:
- The design delivery of key E&P/MEP Projects.
- Ensuring projects are completed to meet all the client’s requirements and applicable standards.
- Ensuring projects are completed to the agreed project programme.
- Ensuring projects are completed to the agreed budget.
- Plan the project works and provide resource forecasting to enable the team leader to allocate suitable resources to the projects.
- Identify changes to the projects’ requirements and raise the changes with the Project Management Team.
- Provide monthly cost to completion forecasts to the Project Management Team.
Experience Required:
- Knowledge of electrical services design within the building services environment and or transport infrastructure, including lighting, small power, containment, earthing or fire alarms.
- Ideally experience in the use of Trimble ProDesign/Electrical OM, MicroStation and or Relux/Dialux Design Software.
- Ideally experience of working in Network Rail IP ProjectWise and/or BIM Standards.
As stated, this role is suitable for any candidate based in or around York, Birmingham, Reading or Manchester, and due to its remote hybrid nature could also work for candidates in Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Coventry, and London.
