Ready to make an impact? Peraton is seeking an experienced Senior Facility Security Officer to work on the Digital Transformation, Acquisition, Modernization, and Modification (DTAMM) program. Become part of our team where we will partner with the United States Space Force (USSF) to employ modernization and digital transformation efforts that enable the acceleration of a national launch cadence across the Eastern Range (ER) and Western Range (WR).

The Space Force is focused on developing a scalable system capable of responding to the demands of National Security Space Agencies’ objectives and DoD’s Test and Evaluation (T&E) needs as well as ensuring the Nation’s ability to access space. The Range Architectural line of effort will be enabled through innovative employment of cloud technologies, software development services, AI/ML, hardware modernization, and cyber security strategies. These efforts will improve data acquisition, processing, and distribution while enhancing collaboration between government and commercial launch partners. Prototypes and emerging technologies will be advanced into the LTRS architecture and incrementally delivered as operational capabilities, supporting the objectives of increased launch capacity and tempo for our nations ER and WR spaceports. Our goal is to develop a team that is innovative, professional, and eager to apply their expertise to support the mission.

The Senior Facility Security Officer will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the facility, and work with the Security team performing the following actions:
  • Verify security clearance status for visitors and potential new employees, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Starting Tier 3, 5 Investigations as needed
  • SCINet Access and Management
  • CONUS/OCONUS Travel
  • Oversee security clearance process for employees; process personnel, facility clearance information, periodic reinvestigations, manage the Defense Information Security System (DISS) database, Security Information Management System (SIMS), National Industrial Security System (NISS) and related files.
  • Develop and provide security-related briefings and training.
  • Develop and provide foreign pre/post travel briefings in accordance with government requirements.
  • Track and notify personnel of periodic reinvestigations.
  • Prepares and report security relevant information as directed by the customer.
  • Manage/maintain the facility clearance documents (SF-86)
  • Ensure the proper preparation and review of draft/original/revised DD254s.
  • Track status of contracts and provide updates to the security manager.
  • Lead self-inspections and DCSA assessments of programs.
  • Security Training to program
  • Site Incident Response – Support as needed.
  • VAR Management
  • Building and Warehouse Access Management; Badges, Escorting.
  • Access Control System Management
  • CAGE Code Management.
  • COMSEC Custodian (If required)
  • Providing recurring Status reports to program leadership.
  • Support other corporate Security needs at the sites as required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree and 8+ years, or 6+ years with MS/MA, or equivalent years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience using government security regulations, manuals, and processes, to include the NISPOM, SEAD, and OPSEC principles.
  • Experience in working with the Department of Defense policies and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  • DCSA FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities certificate from CDSE.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance

  • Experience as an FSO or AFSO
  • Proficient with DISS, NISS and SIMS
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Target Salary Range

$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
