Position Overview:Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure efficient resource management in compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will oversee timely financial reporting while adhering to financial guidelines and best practices.Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes, including participation in physical inventory counts at both facilities.
- Review accounting records such as invoices, purchase orders, and the general ledger to confirm proper account coding and budget compliance.
- Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations for non-subledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all recorded amounts.
- Maintain the fixed asset subledger by verifying asset accuracy, monitoring monthly depreciation, and reviewing deposits to ensure proper classification and useful life assignment.
- Post all payroll-related entries and accruals.
- Complete daily bank reconciliations, process wire payments, and prepare weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Work closely with the Sales Administrator to ensure accurate customer pricing and approved trade management details are reflected in the ERP system.
- Ensure all product bills of materials are current and updated as needed.
- Conduct weekly inventory reviews with business partners, generate reports to identify and track potential risks, and maintain inventory provision support calculations.
- Develop a deep understanding of the standard costing system and actively participate in reviewing production variances for reasonability.
- Ensure adherence to accounting practices in compliance with annual audit requirements and stay informed on changes in accounting standards.
- Maintain a strong understanding of financial reporting structures and the general ledger.
- Identify opportunities to enhance internal controls and improve existing financial processes.
- Assist with interim and annual audits by providing necessary documentation to ensure financial statement accuracy.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of financial accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- CPA designation in progress (senior-level candidate) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software for general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial statement preparation.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements, budgeting, and statistical analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional business units.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines, particularly during financial close periods.
- Strong problem-solving, judgment, and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
