Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
• Maintain and owns the central financial datasets and spreadsheets, including master transit and account hierarchies, used by Technology Finance for planning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Prepares consolidated management and statutory reporting for Technology expenses, while also supporting the maintenance of effective controls over the reasonability, accuracy, and completeness of consolidated quarterly results.
• Owns statutory reporting, planning, and forecasting for centralized expenses in Technology (premises, annual incentive pay, fixed asset depreciation, and intangible asset amortization).
• Manages Technology’s contractor funding pools that reside in the Strategic Investment Portfolio (SIP) budget, including reporting and the gathering of forecasting and planning inputs from Divisional Project Management Offices (DPMOs).
• Contributes to the maintenance of strong financial governance through implementing best practices, supporting audit requests, and communicating applicable financial policies and accounting guidelines to relevant parties.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
