Job description

  • Lead the inventory annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes as well as monthly reporting and variance analysis
  • Supports the standard cost process and manufacturing cost estimates. Maintain an overall understanding of the standard costing environment and inventory valuation.
  • Manage the inventory revaluation process. Partner with the manufacturing business units to consolidate y-o-y analytics and trend analyses.
  • Responsible for managing periodic audits, validations, and controls of standard cost changes and report findings and propose action items to the Senior Manager.
  • Perform various reviews and trend analyses of manufacturing costs and KPIs to complement the month-end reporting process.
  • Responsible for the preparation and review of Executive level reporting packages.
  • Preparation of quarterly documents for internal and external auditors.
  • Focus on continuous process improvement, leveraging financial systems and the streamlining of processes in order to meet organizational goals.
  • Responsible for the updating and maintenance of key process documentation.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports and supporting schedules to assist management needs as required.

· Professional Accountant (iCPA designation) with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
· Minimum of 5 years accounting experience; experience in a manufacturing and publicly reported company with a multi-unit geographically dispersed structure is an asset.
· Experience in management through an ERP environment. Working user knowledge of JDE and/or Hyperion Financial Planning is an asset.
· Focused and results driven but has the ability to understand the different perspectives within the organization and adjust his project management style to become a respected business partner within the organization.
· Proven ability to undertake, manage, and execute projects geared towards the improvement of process and department efficiency.
· Established financial modelling skills and distinct ability to identify and remediate areas of improvement.
· Possesses developed multi-tasking skills and ability to succeed in a fast-paced working environment.
· The individual must be motivated, provide strategic direction, and possess excellent business acumen, interpersonal and analytical skills.
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and the use of its complex formulas and various reporting capabilities.
· Developed ability to efficiently leverage presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Think-Cell in preparation of management presentations.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and French, Spanish is an asset.
