Our client, a global leading financial services organisation, is looking to secure a Senior Funds Lawyer in their London office on a permanent basis.
Your duties will include:
- Provide legal support for the business business supporting product development, deal flow and negotiations.
- Asset classes include private markets (private equity, private debt and infrastructure equity), direct lending, venture capital, infrastructure debt and capital solutions.
- To advise upon and assist in implementation of legislation, regulations and best practice relating to alternative funds and their marketing and distribution.
- To fully participate in and support the goals and work of global legal, compliance and risk functions in their objective at all times to best serve the company and its clients and to ensure it adheres to the highest standards of integrity and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will be/have:
- A UK qualified lawyer with at least 5 years’ PQE, Product and alternatives funds or comparable experience, all which may have been gained within private practice or in-house.
- An ability to manage and prioritise different workloads in different businesses and teams is important
- Able to think independently and act on one’s own counsel as well as have the ability to manage business expectations
- Possess the gravitas and maturity to gain the confidence of senior management right from the outset.
