The Day Surgery Unit is looking for people who want to make a difference and become part of a highly motivated team.We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working and flexible individual who is able to work in a fast paced environment with good communication skills to join our DSU team as a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker.You must have good verbal communication skills, able to prioritize workloads, work independently as well as working as part of a well established team, and believe in delivering high standards of patient care. In this role you will give direct care to patients attending the Day Surgery Unit, in a safe and welcoming environment, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.Main duties of the jobThe post involves working with a range of staff, assisting with pre operative assessment, taking patient observations, performing ECGs and phlebotomy. - Moving & manual handling skills

- Experience of performing MRSA screening
