The role is based near the historic city of Salisbury, at their headquarters on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced offshore surveyor to take on additional responsibilities in a managerial capacity.Key Responsibilities:
- Taking a technical lead on vessel mobilisation, data capture, processing, and reporting
- Managing hydrographic survey projects, ensuring successful delivery from start to finish
- Supporting the operations manager in the general running and delivery of all hydrographic survey services
- Contributing to business development activities and financial reporting at the project level
- Assisting the managing director with pursuing technical excellence and growth in the hydrography department
- Overseeing and mentoring technical staff to ensure quality and efficiency
- Balancing fieldwork with office-based tasks to support overall project needs
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the field of hydrography and geophysical surveying
- Proven offshore surveyor skills with a background in technical operations
- Competence in project management and excellent communication abilities
- Understanding of business development activities and financial project reporting
- A relevant degree in surveying or equivalent qualification
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to relocate within commuting distance to the head office, if necessary
