Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?As the Senior Manager, Digital Apps Data Support, you will help transform RBC Insurance digital technologies from the outside in. Utilizing a deep understanding of financial market technology, and a keen sense of future state technical architecture, you will lead and define the product vision and roadmap for master data management (MDM) initiatives, driving data integrity and integration across our platform. Acting as the voice of the customer, you will advocate for impactful solutions that enhance data architecture and create a seamless customer experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, bridging technical and business needs to align stakeholders and prioritize product features.What Will You Do?Standardize data governance and integrity by leading the Master Data Management (MDM) initiative, building a Center of Excellence for Digital Application Data.Lead a team of digital application specialists who provide high priority and specialized support to our advisors and clientsChampion the design and implementation of end-to-end data product solutions, aligning with principles of Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization and Agile Methodologies.Spearhead technology POCs and pilot initiatives in collaboration with the Insurance Data Office to evaluate new tools and approaches in data and analytics.Collaborate with digital and data teams to strategize architecture patterns, playbooks, and best practices for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.Support the integration of data and analytical products, for both operational and analytical needs to enhance business capabilities.Contribute in shaping the architecture for reliable and scalable data solutions across RBC Insurance’s B2B ecosystemWhat Do You Need to Succeed?Must Have:10+ years in technology design and build, with a strong focus on data service architecture, end-to-end agile solution delivery.Steering support and analytics for digital application products, with proven experience in driving data-driven insights and business outcomes.Data Management, Governance, Business Analytics, and/or Financial Analysis, ideally within the Financial Services sector.Mentor and guide application specialists, systems designers fostering best practices and elevating team capabilities.Team Management with a strong focus on problem solving, guiding the team to drive solutions forward and sustain continuous progress.Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining MDM systems, with a deep understanding of master data, enrichment strategies, and making data accessible for business needs.Strong knowledge and application of database technologies (e.g., SQL, Snowflake), relational data modeling (RDM), and advanced data modeling techniques.Knowledge of Salesforce and experience in integrating its data with broader data architecture solutions, ensuring seamless data flows and leveraging Salesforce for business insights is an asset.Proficiency in evaluating and applying modern data architecture patterns, data governance practices to build scalable and reliable solutions.Experience architecting data analytics and visualization solutions using modern, cloud-based, and open-source tools.Familiarity with DevOps (CI/CD), Infrastructure as Code, and foundational infrastructure to collaborate effectively with technology partners on scalable solutions.Nice-to-have:Technology experienceAWS S3, RedshiftSnowflakeAWS Lake Formation or similar toolsKafka or Amazon KinesisInformatica, Teradata or TIBCO EBX MDMCollibraSalesforce Data Loader or Informatica for SalesforceTableauDimensional Modelling, Snowflake Schema Design, Data Normalization TechniquesJenkins, GitLab CI/CDDocker or KubernetesDataOps (dbt)IAM: OktaWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
