Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As part of the Marketing & Brand team, the Senior Manager, Editorial & Content is responsible for developing and overseeing the thought leadership strategy for RBC Investor Services (RBCIS). This includes developing and managing our editorial calendar and leading the development of all thought leadership content from ideation to launch and distribution.What will you do?
- Lead in the development of all thought leadership content from ideation, research, writing and to launch and distribution
- Ensure content conveys a point of view and adheres to all approval processes
- Monitor metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of our thought leadership approach and ensuring data is used to inform our evolving strategy
- Develop thought leadership standards and best practices, including the consistent use of different formats and our brand tone of voice
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for writing best practices and standards and reviewing other content
- Maintain strong collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders both within the Investor Services’ business and the broader RBC enterprise
- Manage external vendor relationships, as required, to develop and execute impactful strategies and tactics
- Monitor marketing trends and strategies to ensure we are employing the most advanced and effective practices available
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
- Undergraduate degree/post-graduate certificate or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism, English or related field
- 7+ years of extensive experience providing strategic marketing and communications advice, content development and project management
- Experience and/or familiarity in the financial services industry and with B2B marketing
- Experience managing projects and working with executive stakeholders
- Sound judgement and critical thinking; ability to work independently and with tight deadlines; team oriented and collaborative
Nice-to-have
- Experience and/or familiarity with asset servicing and asset management
