The Leadership & Culture team (L&C) is focused on identifying and developing leaders to enable RBC’s winning culture. As a collective team, we: develop and deliver the enterprise leadership and people manager strategies, lead the execution and advancement of RBC’s talent practices, execute various leadership development programs and support executive recruitment, on-boarding, coaching and development.As the Senior Manager, Executive Development Strategy, you will report to the Senior Director, Executive Development and Coaching, and will be responsible for the design and implementation of our enterprise strategy for Executive Development, in line with our broader leadership strategy. In this role you will refine our skills offerings and create elevated development experiences to strengthen and accelerate the capability and confidence of senior leaders at RBC, allowing them to unlock their potential and live RBC’s leadership model.To help deliver on RBC’s executive development priorities YOU will be accountable to:

  • Develop solutions that are aligned to RBC’s leadership strategy with a strong focus on consulting practices, employee experience, human centered design, and executive leadership development.
  • Collaborate with partners across HR to refine RBC’s Executive Development principles and build a future focused strategy to accelerate and sustain leadership growth and effectiveness – with a continuous focus on elevating the quality and depth of our development offerings.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the Leadership & Culture team to develop strategic Executive Development solutions in support of executive transitions and milestones.
  • Proactively offer advice and counsel to HR Business Partners and key stakeholders on solutions to enable the development of senior leaders and executives.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and evolving needs of executive leaders to evolve our solutions approach and provide educated insight on opportunities to expand our portfolio of offerings.
  • Manage our third-party provider relationships, ensuring we are optimizing our solution set to deliver the best value for our key stakeholders.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and change agent to help solution, implement and operationalize key Leadership & Culture priorities.

What do you need to succeed?Must have:

  • Experience developing learning and development strategies for large, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience leading effective change & initiative management programs, with ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs.
  • Prior experience influencing and collaborating with executive level stakeholders.
  • Experience managing third-party vendor relationships.
  • Strong strategic and consultative mindset, with the ability to take a pragmatic view and align to business needs.
  • Strong presentation/PPT building and storytelling skills (oral and written) with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to a range of stakeholders.
  • Exceptional relationship skills with a proven ability to build credibility at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams to get things done, meet tight timelines and manage multiple deliverables.

Nice to have:

  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • MBA or graduate / post-graduate or professional designations or equivalent
  • Consulting experience with a focus on human capital projects/clients
  • CHRP, CHRL or other HR designation is an asset.
