Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As Senior Manager P&CB NIE and International Banking, you are the Finance Lead responsible for overseeing over $2 billion in technology & functional support and occupancy costs for Canadian banking as well as being the key Finance lead in Platform for driving insights for the Caribbean and US Banking businesses. You will also lead the annual refresh process driving revised NIE allocations for Canadian Banking. The Senior Manager will provide business executives and senior management of P&CB insights and actionable information for effectively understanding trends across International Banking and controlling Indirect cost growth.What you will do?
- Platform lead coordinating with the Caribbean and US Banking businesses. Responsible for reviewing results and forecasts of these regions, driving deeper insights and oversight.
- Lead the annual refresh of the cost allocation process, collaborating with a range of partners including Financial Advisors, the Enterprise Efficiency team, as well as Canadian Banking business.
- Developing the P&CB Flash. This document provides a summary of analysis on Canadian Banking, US Banking and Caribbean Banking that is done each month and distributed to senior executives including the CFO, CB head and their Operating Committee.
- Act as centre of expertise for technology and functional support costs for Canadian Banking, including investigating and improving the transparency of support costs– technology & operations, functions, occupancy, fraud/sundry losses and cross-platform
- Provide insights and transparency for certain centralized expense lines such as capital taxes, deposit insurance premium, fraud and sundry losses
- Act as the Platform Perform Management lead working with business and functional partners on initiative tracking, forecasting for Application Development spend; oversight over related capitalization and depreciation entries
What you need to succeed?Must Have
- Accounting or other professional designation, coupled with 5+ years relevant experience
- Strong business, finance & accounting knowledge
- Good written & verbal communication
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management
- Excellent analytical thinking
- Proficient with MS Excel, especially for modeling
- Attention to detail & works with minimal instruction
- Comfortable dealing with incomplete information
- Ability to work under pressure, focus on priorities & multi-task
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of EPM and RBC Finance tools & processes
