Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Senior Manager Corporate Investigations oversees investigations and corrections of alleged violations of the corporation’s ethical standards or non-compliance. Typically manages two or more specialized departments comprised of supervisors, managers, professionals, and/or large numbers of operational support employees.What will you do?Overall accountability for the investigation teams based in regionEffectively manage a professional investigative team and conduct complex fraud investigations with the objective of mitigating financial, reputational, regulatory and legal risk using established investigative procedures and in accordance with RBC policiesShares responsibility for all components of the Fraud Management Value Chain with peers and the Director, Corporate Investigation Services.Tactical leadership of regional investigative capability with a particular focus on asset recovery, loss prevention and development of intelligence as well as criminal prosecution of offenders in appropriate casesCo-ordination, motivation and development of the regional investigation team into a cohesive, highly motivated and satisfied work groupConduct and manage specific complex and high impact investigations in partnership with CIS specialized investigation teams and the Senior Manager InvestigationsAdvises CIS senior management of fraud issues, significant control weaknesses or deficiencies and trends identified during investigations using standardized reportingDevelops and maintains an extensive network of internal partners and external peers in the industry, police and other authorities to ensure a consistent approach to the detection and investigation of criminal activity against RBCWhat do you need to succeed?Must-haveExperience in gathering and preserving evidence and presenting the evidence before the courtsMinimum 10 years’ experience in financial crime investigationEffective and strong people management skillsBilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with partners across CanadaHighly developed organizational skillsNice-to-haveUniversity degree or equivalent experienceIn-depth knowledge of banking processesWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
