Position Summary…What you’ll do…As a Senior Manager in the Payroll Integrations team, you will lead and deliver the next generation of payroll solutions for Walmart that ensure over 2 million Walmart associates receive seamless, accurate, on-time payments each time, every time. You will lead engineers in a new team – helping the team to simplify and disambiguate problems, collaborate with multiple partner teams, design & deliver highly available systems, and establish operational best practices, from the ground up. You will learn both about our business as well as the technical ecosystem, and build trust with our business and operations partner teams, and champion their cause, as we change the way Walmart pays its associates.About Team:The Enterprise People Technology team supports the successful deployment and adoption of new People technology across the enterprise. - Lead a team of 8-10 software developers and set up an agile and collaborative culture within the team.
- Prioritize and deliver against the team’s roadmap and help keep the roadmap updated.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight to the team by developing robust knowledge of Walmart tech ecosystem as well as encouraging innovation and experimentation with technology choices.
- Establish strong operational excellence and visibility mechanisms and best practices in the team.
- Represent the team in various leadership, business and technical forums.
What you’ll bring:
- At least 8+ years in software engineering, with 4+ years in a people management role.
- Strong fundamentals on building and scaling cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in roadmap management and prioritization.
- Proven record in collaborating with peer teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in driving operational and engineering excellence practices for the team.
- Familiarity with full-stack solutions will be an added bonus.
