Contributes to the overall success of Strategic Deposit Initiatives, Global Transaction Banking, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.What You’ll Do:
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Business Plans and Strategy
- Represent the department in matters of portfolio management, deposit pricing and profitability
- Monitor deposit portfolio level risks and identify cross-portfolio dependencies under competing priorities
- Relationship management with partners globally, business lines and sales channels to ensure shared value propositions, collaboration and sharing of information
- Maintain global calendar of key initiatives and is a point of contact for internal partners across the footprint
- Product/Project Management: Design, Development, Implementation and Promotion
- Identify and drive activities that focus on enhancing our competitive position, growing the balance sheet, improving revenues, and deepening customer relationships
- Assess and resolve complex issues and interdependencies (e.g. product, channel, process and product distribution systems)
- Ensure continuous learning of business trends and developments for applicability to the North American and International markets
- Business Operation Management, Process Improvement, and Communication
- Improve the delivery of process and procedures to enhance efficiencies and strategic alignment of the deposit portfolio(s)
- Create presentations and communications for internal partners, management team and executives to supportdecision making, portfolio management metrics/results, and promote business strategies
- Support change management for initiatives and operational changes
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

What You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years of business banking experience in product management or sales role
- Degree/post graduate degree preferably in Business/Commerce (with specialization in Strategy, Change/Operations/Project Management, Economics, Accounting or Marketing)
- Strong knowledge of deposit products, processes, and systems development
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills
Work Arrangement:
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel domestically.
