They focus on data and reporting ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategies and creating briefings for executives. They also manage environmental reporting for different ESG raters and frameworks. This role involves coordinating internal and external communications about ESG, working with external partners and stakeholders, managing consultants, vendors, and NGO partnerships, and supporting internal teams as an ESG expert.THE DAY-TO-DAY:Support the development of corporate ESG strategies by leading research efforts on topics and issues consistent with Social Impact & Sustainability goals and Company vision.Support Centers of Excellence (including but not limited to Global Procurement, Facilities, F&B) and operational teams with developing tactical plans on carbon, energy, water, waste, and other ESG topics.Support MGM Resorts’ ESG Reporting function by preparing environmental-related disclosures, including but not limited to TCFD-aligned reports, CDP (Climate Change, Water Security, Forests), S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (Environmental Dimension), and CEO Water Mandate Communication on Progress (CoP).Serve as the primary administrator of MGM’s centrally managed database for domestic utility information and primary data owner for environmental metrics. Work with international counterparts to collect and analyze global utility figures.Prepare and validate activity data for scopes 1, 2, and 3 carbon accounting and ensure data is properly migrated to MGM’s carbon accounting platform.Verify appropriate emission factors used to calculate global emissions. Serve as primary contact for internal and third-party review and assurance of environmental data.Aggregate all relevant environmental performance data in MGM’s central ESG database; maintain an inventory of property statistics in the ESG database, including but not limited to number of guest rooms, property area, number of EV chargers, etc.Support preparation of major communications projects such as the SI&S Report, sustainability sections of annual filings, and sustainability-related press releases and executive messaging for the Environmental Sustainability team, collaborating with Corporate Communications COE.Develop collateral on environmental-related performance and programs for senior leadership, including programmatic updates to the MGM Resorts Board of Directors and executive team.Serve as a project manager and key liaison with consultants/vendors and external partners/NGOs on sustainability projects, managing progress toward project goals and maintaining timelines.Represent MGM Resorts at sustainability-related events and convenings, and present at conferences to advance the Company’s position as a leader in corporate sustainability.
