Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As the Senior Manager, TLM Support within Operation Process Engineering (OPE), you will lead the team that is responsible for the maintenance and expansion of the TLM application portfolio across Finance Shared Services (FSS).You will be responsible for automation of reconciliations for FSS primarily using the SmartStream Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) platform with hands-on business analysis, business process management, and business intelligence / KPI / Metrics / reporting expertise. You will be the strategic advisor and thought leader for the TLM system supporting FSS reconciliations and will collaborate with TEO and Technology partners to implement AI, GenAI and other efficiency-enabling tools and products to optimize automated reconciliations.You will work closely with business units across RBC to gain in-depth understanding of customer’s reconciliation processes, service roadmap and the context in which the business operates to transform operations and support End to End automated reconciliation implementations. You will leverage sound business and systems knowledge such as Data Sourcing, Reconciliation workflows, Data migration files, User Acceptance Testing, Post Implementation Validation, and Regulatory compliance support in conjunction with Finance IT service delivery partners and Agile/Project Management Framework.In this role, you will lead a fast-paced and dynamic team in optimizing and enhancing our TLM automated reconciliation, collaborating with leadership and teams across the organization to streamline our reconciliation and implement best practices. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the TLM Support team, encouraging proactive problem-solving and the adoption of best practices.What will do you do?Collaborate with business partners across Finance Shared Services to optimize existing and build new reporting models within TLM. Document requirements, data flow diagrams, data lineage, data wrangling processes, KPIs, and visualizationsPartner with the assigned business units / operations teams / global business process service partners to understand current state of the reconciliation processes, and design semi / fully automated future state solutions to reduce operating costs and improve financial, internal and operational controlsElicit and document business requirements by analyzing, designing, and delivering reconciliation solutions to support Finance Shared Services growth strategiesPrepare project documents in accordance with RBC Agile/PMF standards e.g. EPICs, User Stories, process flows, UAT plans, PRD cut-over and RTB hand-overBalancing and satisfying the needs of business, end-users and technical stakeholders ensuring alternatives have been investigated and there is an understanding of implementation tradeoffsProvide insights in the design and optimization of Financial Information Business Rules (FiBRS) / Static Data configuration related to the reconciliation processes being on-boarded or off-boardedProvide strategic direction and thought leadership in the review of the automated reconciliation tool for FSS.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Finance IT, FSS pillar leads, process owners, and Operations stakeholders, ensuring collaboration, professionalism and cooperation against the delivery of the TLM roadmap, timelines and budget.Set direction for the TLM support team and develop capability of the team while holding them accountable for their deliverables. Promote innovative or improved methods to get the work done and implement best practices.Ensure successful launches, seamless implementation and operational integration of TLM initiatives.What do you need to succeed?Must haves:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent education5+ years of Business Analysis experience: Planning and Monitoring, Elicitation, Requirements Management and Communication, Enterprise Analysis, Requirements Analysis, and Solution Assessment and Validation6+ years of experience onboarding new work to FSS (Domestic Banking / International Banking / Insurance / Strategic Reporting), Matching, Investigation, Resolution, Attestation, Documentation & Reporting, Operational Support, Process Improvement / Automation3+ years of Data Preparation and Data Administration experience for Business Process Management (BPM) or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or Lean / Six SigmaKeen interest in technology as an enabler to operationsAbility to prioritize for impact. Capacity to lead and manage numerous initiatives at once. Ability to manage competing priorities; completing in required timelines and working with stakeholders to ensure prioritization meets needsExcellent analytical and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, compartmentalize, and resolve problemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex challenges and issues, and frame and facilitate discussions with a wide range of stakeholdersHighly collaborative, and able to thrive in a matrixed environmentNice to haves:Experience with SmartStream TLM Platform for GL to Source System / Sub-ledger, NTZ, Intragroup, cash and Asset Recs, and n-way reconciliation scenariosStrong understanding of reconciliation processes in FSSKnowledge of RBC GL Attestation policy, eSOD, and PEGA Attestation Workflow related to reconciliationUnderstanding of Extraction Transformation Loading processes (Datastage / Monarch / Apache Airflow / Python) and Data Visualization tools (Apache Superset / Tableau)Experience with process mapping, documentation, and optimization.
