This position requires top-tier professionals with expertise in optical transport mediums, fiber optic infrastructure, and DoD standards. Candidates must hold a TS/SCI clearance and be passionate about advancing fiber optic engineering operations.Location: The job is based in Hawaii, offering a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant, tropical environment with a rich cultural heritage. Hawaii serves as a strategic location for various military and governmental operations in the Pacific.Responsibilities:Optical Transport Mediums and Fiber Optic Infrastructure:

  • Design, implement, and maintain optical transport mediums and fiber optic

infrastructure. * Conduct assessments of existing fiber optic systems and recommendimprovements or upgrades to enhance performance and reliability. * Manage fiber optic projects from planning through execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.DoD Experience with Fiber Optics:

  • Apply knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) standards and practices in the design and maintenance of fiber optic systems.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements and guidelines in all fiber optic projects.
  • Work closely with DoD stakeholders to understand their specific needs and tailor fiber optic solutions accordingly.

USSS Familiarity:

  • Leverage familiarity with the United States Secret Service (USSS) requirements and standards in fiber optic engineering tasks.
  • Ensure all fiber optic systems meet or exceed USSS specifications and

operational standards.Advanced Fiber Optic Technologies:

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in fiber optic technologies and

methodologies. * Implement cutting-edge solutions to optimize the performance and efficiency of fifiber optic networks.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to fiber optic infrastructure.

Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers,

cybersecurity experts, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions. * Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all fiber optic systems,including design specifications, installation procedures, and maintenance
protocols. * Conduct training sessions for junior engineers and other team members on best practices and new technologies in fiber optics.Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in optical transport mediums and fiber optic infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in designing and maintaining fiber optic systems within the Department of Defense (DoD) framework.
  • Familiarity with the United States Secret Service (USSS) requirements and standards is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of fiber optic technologies and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex fiber optic issues.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee projects from planning to execution.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Salary Range: $120,000 – $190,000Benefits:
