This rewarding role will see you working within a small Occupational Therapy team providing advice and support for children, young people and families in the Bath and North East Somerset area. We work closely with our colleagues across the service and have established partnerships with agencies across health, education, support services and adult services to ensure we can respond as effectively as possible to the needs of children and young people.Main duties of the jobTo provide statutory occupational therapy and care planning services to vulnerable members of the community across Bath and North East Somerset, focusing on physical function and supporting equipment, to reduce the impact of ill health and disability, and improve independence, outcomes and quality of life for individuals. The role is a fully qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist that will manage a complex caseload in addition to advising and supporting other social care professionals, working regularly in a multi-agency and inter-professional setting.About usOur team is based at Civic Centre in Keynsham, within the Children and Young People Service and we are looking for an enthusiastic worker to join our team. We work with children with complex needs between the age of 0-18 predominantly at home. We support disabled children and their families to live safely and independently in their own home.Our team is based at Civic Centre in Keynsham, within the Children and Young People Service and we are looking for an enthusiastic worker to join our team.   • Assessing children and young people’s needs under the Children and Families Act
  • Assessing and making minor and major adaptation requests to enable access to essential facilities and to ensure a safe home environment
  • Providing equipment and moving and handling advice and support
