Will you join us?What You Will DoAs a Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you will:
- Process payroll & benefits for one or more regions in our Payroll & Benefits team. You will manage payrolls that include Sweden, Germany, the UK, US, Canada, Italy, and Spain using a mix of in-house, outsourced, and Employer of Record (EOR) solutions.
- Partner closely with our Global Payroll provider to ensure payroll calculations and general ledgers are accurate, compliant, and identify areas for process improvements.
- Collaborate with our Benefits broker and technology partners to enhance and streamline payroll and benefits functions, working towards a best-in-class global program.
- Partner with People, Finance, Equity & Compensation, and Accounts teams on ad-hoc projects, ensuring best-in-class processes are designed and executed.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, time and attendance, and payroll transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees by resolving payroll and benefits inquiries.
- Leverage AI to innovate and evolve future payroll and benefits processes.
Who You Are
- You have 3-5 years of experience in payroll, ideally in a dynamic, fast-paced company.
- Expertise in US and EMEA payroll and benefits is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations across multiple countries and experience with outsourced Payroll and Benefits providers.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver high-quality results.

- Experience with change management in a growing organization.
- Knowledge of payroll and HRIS platforms.
- Experience working with AI-driven solutions for payroll and benefits optimization.
- Familiarity with a hybrid work environment across global offices.

At Klarna, our compensation package includes a base salary and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). To ensure fairness and maintain global market competitiveness, each role in a specific location has a set base salary. During the recruitment process, we will assess your skills and experience to determine which role is the best fit for you.
Our RSU program features a 4-year vesting schedule, allowing you to gradually become a shareholder in Klarna.
