Job description
We’re looking for a motivated and driven Senior Product Owner to join the team of Flix North America! The Senior Product Owner will provide oversight for key initiatives with integrated applications across company departments. They will report on all phases of projects being managed under the program. The Sr. Product Owner will lead or assist business owners and the procurement team. This position will coordinate any vendor demonstrations as needed and selections, lead project team meetings or conference calls, and coordinate project reporting and timelines for implementation activities to ensure successful project deployment. They will also create domain backlogs in accordance with the Flix Tech requirements while holding project teams accountable through project completion.
The Sr. Product Owner will perform ongoing Vendor Management administration for the organization as well as assist with the overall reporting of the Domain. The Sr. Product Owner attends and assists with sprint planning, daily standup meetings and produces Quarterly backlog reporting. This team member strives to maintain team harmony and demonstrates Flix core values.
Your Tasks – Paint the world green
- Assist product teams by managing projects, improving documentation, honing methodology, and managing organizational change
- Use appropriate verification techniques to ensure Agile methodologies are being following and aligned with the Flix Tech requirements
- Perform all vendor selection activities including development of the requirements, comparison of alternate solutions, project scope and cost/benefit analysis
- Manage diverse, multi-departmental project teams to ensure successful execution of product deliveries
- Assist Business Owners in developing Project Pitches on the quarterly deadlines
- Responsible for overcoming difficulties associated with the project and responsible for raising issues to upper management in a timely and objective manner
- Ensure team adherence to corporate and departmental standards and policies. Review and approve project artifacts, project plans, business cases, test results, documentation, and training materials, etc.
Your Profile – Ready to hop on board
- Bachelors Degree – Computer Science, Information Technology, engineering or related business discipline or relevant business experience
- 10+ years experience in Program Management utilizing legacy-based applications with web-based technologies and/or as a senior developer/application architect leading project teams and providing direction for professional exempt employees; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
- Current Certified Scrum Master Certification (CSM) a plus but not required
- Experience with Agile work management tools including set-up, planning and reporting – Experience with Microsoft DevOps preferred
- Familiarity with benefits of test-driven development, automated testing, continuous integration / continuous delivery, pair programming / mob programming
- Requires expertise in use of modern project management techniques and tools
- Technical understanding of software development in areas of legacy and web development technologies
- Proven experience developing detailed business plans, project plans, estimating technology project efforts
