If so, come join us and help redefine the Canadian banking landscape!What you will be doing:The Senior Quality Engineer – Defect Coordinator reports to the Manager/Sr.Manager, Quality Engineering, and is responsible for delivering QE tasks ensuring all aspects of testing (automation, manual, services, accessibility, etc.) are meeting quality while complying with Tangerine Delivery framework and process. The QE Defect Coordinator role is responsible for ensuring high level of quality for all IT delivery across every build prior to a production release.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:Support the overall delivery of IT projects across banking applications; Web, Mobile, Contact Center, backend etc by ensuring the highest level of quality throughout regression testing cycles for all releases.Support QE processes through the regression testing cycle for all IT releases; supporting scoping, QE sign-offs, reporting etcFacilitate the release regression defect triage meetings with stakeholders from across IT/Business (POs, BAs, Eng Leads/Managers etc) and ensure prompt resolution/action to issues found, providing ongoing report to QE management and stakeholders of release progress/statusOwn, track and triage to closure all release regression defects; collating related defects and execution metrics to drive reporting to leadership and remediation actions.Update test execution status following agreed-upon processes as part of regularly-scheduled test status updates and trace test cases and results back to specific quality risks.Research, document and report on post release metrics relating to defect trends, RCA, Production issues, driving outstanding deferred defects to closureUnderstand the role of testing within the software development lifecycle and business-related project constraints and effectively advocate for the best possible customer experience of product quality within those parameters.Where applicable, select and develop and debug appropriate test automation tests, applying the latest techniques in test automation (e.g. data-driven testing) across API and UICreate and manage testing artifacts within designated test management tool for regression / project teams as applicable.Coach and provide mentorships to junior resources within the team in various areas including business domain, functional testing, automation and non-functional testing while ensuring the test teams are compliant with Tangerine test methodologies and industry best practices.Participate in weekly test team meetings to provide test status updates, execution and development details.Develop and maintain good professional working relationships, especially within the test team and with those who interact regularly with the test team.Show initiative in setting and meeting goals within an environment of managed change.Other duties as requiredDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
